T5 bulb suggestion

Hi I have a 120gal(4x2x2) mixed reef tank. 3 Hydra 26 HD and just bought T5 hybrid. would like to know what bulbs to buy ?

4 bulbs? 4x ati blue+ That’s a PAR monster. Then whiten it up with the hydras as per your taste

I use 2 blue plus and 2 coral plus. A little whiter than all blues. Can’t go wrong with either suggestion IMO.

I have 2 blue plus, 1 coral plus and 1 aqua blue.

I had 2 coral plus and 2 blue plus, I recently just switched to 2 blue plus and 2 actinic. First setup was just way to much par for softies. Was also to white for my taste, Now I use my hydras to add the amount of white I like.

On second thought and some reading forums, I’d probably say b+ c+ b+ c+ instead of 4 b+ bulbs. Seems like both bulbs are needed (and satisfactory) to pull off the best SPS colors (because of some wavelength selective protein voodoo). You might be able to mix in the needed vawelengths with the AI for a blue+ only setup to get the most PAR AND best spectrum, but it seems to be easier to just have a good base with t5’s.
