My tank is 60"×20"×20"

Looking at a 60" 8×80 watt ati fixture

Is 8 80 watt bulbs too much?

What kind of coral? Chalices, sps?

That fixture would work well for sps. IMO

Lovely fixture. I don't know what the general lighting color preference is around here, but staggering 4 Aquablue Plus with 4 Coral Plus bulbs is a good starting point.

Depending on coral placement, you would likely be better off with a six bulb fixture. An eight bulb unit would provide more than enough light, perhaps too much of it. I ran a 24" wide system with seven bulbs and it was plenty of lighting. My current setup is 18" wide and six bulbs (ATI Sunpower) is actually causing me issues as its providing too much light.

But, if youre planning on not leaving much space for sand and running SPS wall to wall then eight bulbs will be fine.
