I've never owned a t5 set up. My bulbs just came in and I got 2 10k and 2 actinic. Boy it seems bright. Lol I have a 65 gallon tank. I know I can do what I want with the bulbs but if I did 3 actinic and 1 10k would that still be enough light for corals? Mostly softies. But I really like that blue hue the water has with the bulbs. I currently only have fish in there and not ready to add corals yet. While I was waiting for the bulbs to come in I only had 1 working actinic bulb and I loved how it looked. What if I did all actinic bulbs??? Would that even work with corals? Tons of questions. Sorry.

It should be fine depending on how far the fixture is from the sandbed and placement of corals but may i ask how many inches are the bulb?

Fixture is screwed into the canopy. 36 inch bulbs.

So actinic bulbs are low par and look dim to our eyes but corals take a lot of that spectrum in. If you like a blue look and arent doing a full blown sps tank you can do 3 ati blue pluss and 1 ati coral plus. 10k bulbs are washing out your blue bulbs

IMO you should replace the actinic bulbs with ATI Blue Plus bulbs. Get growth and the blue with them.
