T5 ho ATI bulbs

Question for anyone please . I have a 4 bulb t5 ho fixture on a lps and soft coral . I just got 3 blue plus and 1 purple plus bulb can i just run these bulbs with success? Obviously on a set schedule but just with those bulbs

yes you can. You will be able to grow anything you want with those bulbs.

I was thinking of starting 2 blue+ for 1-2 hrs then adding 1 purple+ and 1 blue+ to have all 4 on for 8hrs then just the 2 blues for 1-2 hrs at night . Would that be ok

I received the 3 blue+ and purple plus today but the purple was broken so just have to order a new one unfortunately . But i put the three blues in with a coralife actinic for now. But just purchased a timer and trying to figure out a good timeline to set it at now that i know i can run these 4 bulbs with success im very excited about it

That sounds fine. You could even cut back the time they are all on. Think of it this way. Over natural reefs, there is never 8 hours of full sunlight. Realistically, full on sunlight would only be 11am-3pm, or so.

I just run all mine at once, for 7.5 hours. I did run your combo, but wanted a bluer look, so i switched my purple out for a true actinic. Here it is now. It is not quite as dark as it looks. Thats just the camera. Its a fairly bright blue.

Cool. ATI bulbs are pretty much top of the line for t5's.

Thanks for the advice and input i appreciate it. Just want a lighting system that will work without having to have my wife switching lights on and off when im not home.
