T5 hybrid best timer and mounting height ?

Just got my t5 set up finally. Any input on outlet timers for aquatic life t5 ? I tried to use my old mechanical one it didn’t like it too much it shut off one of my ballast for a bit . Also what is the best height my tank is 36x24 and I’m running 2 ai primes currently it’s 12” off top of glass

I just use a 5$ timer from HomeDepot lol
For height, thats going to depend on your desired par levels. I would ASSUME, 15"?
On my build, I have T5 lights hanging 26" above the water line with Orphek LED at 80% blue/uv spectrum.

No, none at all! Every month I do a routine check and ensure the time is still set correctly on it.
