T5 lamps

Not sure if this is right forum but I am having hard time finding 72" T5 bulbs. 180g tank Could someone maybe refer me to place that has them in stock. I have contacted about 6 places all said 60" largest they have.

I believe the longest is 60". Do you have a current fixture with 72" bulbs in it ?

If you are looking for T5s to be used over a 72" long system the best solution is to get 2 fixtures of 36" each. Get the ATI Sunpower. Make sure you cover the surface area of the system.

@hadams356 T5HO bulbs max out at 60” which is fine for most 72” tanks. That last 6” on each end will get plenty of scattered light. Or you may have to get two 36” end to end if it’s absolutely critical you nail the ends with high light.

Yes I run mh and 4 t5's in a 72" fixture. Bought some about 9 months ago from marine depot but they don't carry anymore.

I have been looking for a 6’ fixture and all I can find is 60 being the largest .

I apologize switched out old fixture that had 72" T12 and that just stuck in mind. You are right it is 60"

There isn’t .
I have been looking for awhile and apparently the largest bulb or fixture is 60”
This is why most that light their 6’ tanks with t5’s talk about 6” on each end with no lights .

Metal halide + 4 t5ho
10,000k metal halides

Full spectrum led with 4 t5ho
Leds tuned visually appealing (lower kelvin heavy on white red green. Not ab+ profile)
2 ati blue+
2 ati true actinic

These are my personal preferences based on my taste. I tend to prefer a much whiter tank than most. Some would call it “yellow” compared to the heavy blue appeal most have nowadays
