T5 led bulb replacement

Yeah. Eventually, they're going bye bye. I've got two rounds of 8x54W 48" for my old Tek fixture I'm using for my next build. And when those bulbs are done? LED all the way. Kills me, cause I love T5s.

I just picked up about 6 years worth for my 8 foot tank from BRS last month for like $8 each. Not sure what is going on over there. I picked up a BK 200 deluxe, Dosetronic, Alkatronic, etc. all like ridiculously low.
Yeah, I picked up mine on clearance for a great deal too. My only issue is that the Tek will only support my tank for the first 9 to 18 months (at absolute max). By then I'll have corals outside the center of tank and the old Tek won't provide the coverage I need. Plus it's OLD. Not sure how long the Ballast is going to last. I guess it's just time......

I am using aquatic life fixtures. I keep looking for used ones for parts. They use to sell them on their site reconditioned, with warranty, for like 60% off. They are worth that, not NIB pricing... These will work for my new application, I have been using them in a different and couldn't have gotten away with something different. But, in my new build I am using LED/T5/MH. So, the tight fixture is perfect for my application. Fingers crossed I am not creating a laser beam... lol

If your location is meant to be Calgary, both ReefSupplies.ca and AquariumDepot.ca both sell and ship bulbs. ReefSupplies is better.
