I like the combos below but am going back and forth on orientation/coverage so I'm curious to hear your opinions/data. Tank will be ~ 108 x 42 x 30
A. 48 inch 8-bulb T5 fixture with LED strips, oriented parallel to tank, repeated lengthwise of course!
B. 4 Duo extremes with 3 6-bulb T5s in between (alternating). All oriented perpendicular to tank, this would leave ~4 inch spacing between lights.
C. 3 Duo extremes with 2 8 bulb T5s between (alternating). All perpendicular.
Mixed reef, I just like T5s and like to add a gentle shimmer with a few LEDs.
I like A for cost and simplicity. With B and C, there will be slightly different colors coming out of T5s VS LEDs and I wonder if color blending would be an issue, meaning colors are not perfectly even esp with C but I could be wrong, you tell me!
