I am looking to buy an ATI fixture (this will be my first T5 fixture) and I am undecided on the size. I have a 57 deep blue rimless (36''x18''x20''). My question is would a 24'' be sufficient or should I go 36''? Should I buy a 4 bulb or a 6 bulb? I plan on keeping LPS and possibly some easy to care for SPS. I have never ventured into the SPS world but its something that I am thinking about trying. I don't want to buy a fixture that will melt my LPS but want something that will keep some easy SPS alive. All advice will be welcome because I have absolutely no experience with T5 lighting.

I think you would be fine with 24 or 36 reall, . Up to you. But as far as the 4 bulb or 6? It all depends what you want to keep sps, lps, mixed etc. I would do 6bulb ( i just got one actually 24 6bulb:)....., since you will have more leeway, in case you ever want an sps tank. If you want full sps, i would do 36 " 6 bulb.

I will be keeping mostly LPS and softies with a few beginner SPS at some point. I guess I am worried about burning the LPS and softies up. Would a 6 bulb be to much for them. What size tank did you put your 24'' on?
