I had the ATI dimmable and the only dimming I did was from 0% to 100% in the morning for the first 10 minutes or so, and 100% to 0% during the last 10 minutes of the cycle.
The more light you offer to the corals the better IMO.
I think the bulbs last much longer using ON/OFF than dimming them a lot.
I sold my fixture and got a non-dimmable Sunpower like my other system...
I've learned that ON/OFF is all you need IMHO. I still turn the "blue channel" one hour earlier than the "white channel", but there is absolutely no need nor any advantage in doing any of the blues or dimming in terms of growth/health.
The only thing that I remember it would serve for is to see fish spawning at the end of the light cycle.
My advice to you is to dim the 2 channels the first and last 10 mins of the light cycle like I did.
That would be enough for the dimming feature.
But if you really want to do what's on the paper of course you can.
You will just loose some PAR daily for no reason IMO.
