Looking for help to make sure I'm lighting and placing my corals correctly.

Specs:
75 Gallon tank
- 48" long
- 19" depth from water surface to sand.

ATI Sunpower T5 fixture
- 48" long
- 8x54w T5
- hanging 8" above water surface. No cover on tank.
- Not dimmable, but 2 ballasts split 2 & 6.

Bulbs
- 4 ATI Blue +
- 2 ATI Coral +
- 1 ATI Purple +
- 1 Wave Point Actinic

Light Schedule
- 30 min 2 bulbs; Blue + & Actinic
- 30 min 6 bulbs; All but the 2 prior.
- 9 hours 8 bulbs.
- 30 min 6 bulbs
- 30 min 2 bulbs
- Total 11 hours; 2 hours ramp & 9 full power

How do you determine where to place corals? When affects are so slow develop is there a baseline for coral placement under T5's.

Do I have too little, too much light? Is my lighting schedule appropriate? Should I lowered or raise the light?

Any advice is appreciated.

With any T5 or MH lighting, I just put the corals where I want from Day 1. I usually do not buy acropora frags from LED tanks, but if I do, then I keep them in a frag rack for a few weeks.

Most of what you read from coral burn from light is under LED and no so much T5s. Just put them where you want.

I just bought a Walt Disney and garf bonsai from a led tank, I put them on a frag rack for now. So you don’t think it matters where I place them under halides/t5?

I'm confused by this? Love the idea, but does it not matter if I put certain corals near the top or bottom? No concerns with coral depth? Are your saying T5 are weak so it doesn't matter or don't lose strength towards bottom of tank?
