I notice that my tank looks a lot more clear when the t5 are on. The tank looks much better with t5 only. Do they make an all t5 light that can grow sps on an 24 inch tall tank at the bottom of the tank? I might swap to t5 only.

ATI Sunpower is the best T5 fixture available in my opinion. There are plenty of ATI lit tanks full of SPS.

Dowtish has a pretty awesome lamp that he does SPS with. I have a quad lamp and my SPS does pretty good with it.

I have 2 400w metal halide with lumens bright reflectors and reeflux 20k bulbs and two 80 watts t5 bulbs one is true actinic and the other is blue plus.

The color of the corals it's not my problem it's the way the water looks under t5 it's just looks so much better. The colors on my sps are great and they are growing like weeds

If you are going to switch to all T5, ATI fixtures is the way to go. I dont have one, I use an aquaticlife fixture, but the ATI's have overdriven ballasts, and are proven to grow SPS on the sandbed.

Honestly no, but most people actually like the shimmer that the MH provides over no shimmer of T5's

Well, IMO I would keep what you have. As long as you arent having heat issues, that lighting combo is the best for color and growth.

No, I don't agree with the way the water looks under T-5 vers Halides. I don't get it, I run Halides and the water looks crystal clear. Also, if you run T-5s you will not get the water shimmer the way Halides and LEDs do.
