I am about to build a reef light for my 29 gallon tank. I wanted to put two 24" 24W T5 10,000 K bulbs and one 24" 24W T5 100% blue spectrum bulb in it. Would this be good for 'most' corals? And would this be considered High, Mid, or Low lighting?

Yes you can keep just about every coral you want with that light on that tank.I would look into ati bulbs though, there the best on the market highly recomended by many

I disagree. I had a 4 bulb(24w) t5 fixture on my 29 months ago and I had trouble keeping SPS. Did a very good job with softies and LPS tho.

4 bulb t5 will grow sps easily on a 29 gallon tank,It most likely wasn't the light causing sps not to grow

Touche. Now that I think about it. I did have problems with that tank. I retract my statement. Lol

Lol ya it happens to all of us,Of course 6 bulbs would be better but it's hard to fit 6 bulbs over a 29 gallon tank sometimes,if you want to keep some higher end acros it would be best to place them up high on the rock and montis and lower light sps will do fine lower in the tank with 4 bulbs

True I took that tank down tho. Running LEDs over my 90.

Sorry OP! Didn't mean to semi highjack ur thread! Lol

Here is a Ora scripps frag under a 4 bulb fixture running ati bulbs
