Hello guys, quick question I have a t5 ho coralife lights two white two actinic
Can I use a different color bulb to stimulate growth on corals and what would it be the best option?
Maybe two white ..
One actinic..
And one?..
Is there such thing

Most would only use one white lamp, use an actinic and 2 blue + lamps

It's all about PAR. Blue lamps light the ATI Blue+ still put out a lot of PAR while being very blue, and blues tend to make coral fluoresce, or "pop", more. White or full-spectrum bulbs wash out blue bulbs quite easily so in a 4 bulb setup most will go with something like Reefing Madness stated.

Blue actually penetrates the water muhc better than the other color ranges.

Haven't take new ones yet but I will blue is moon lights only
And actinic on others haven't add new bulbs yet

Ok so I'm going
1 white
2blues+
1actinic
I hope is not to blue hope my anemone likes it too[emoji51][emoji53]

FWIW I run a 4 bulb 80w setup and run 2x ATI Blue+, 1x ATI True Actinic, and 1x ATI Coral+. When all the bulbs are on it's still very much white, with a slight blue tint. Swapping the Coral+ out for a Purple+ and it really balances it out with a warmer white. I prefer the slight blue look though as it looks a bit more natural to me so I stick with the Coral+. Definitely does not have a windex look to it though.
