i’m leaning towards t5 lighting over led, what’s the skinny on t5 positive and negative

Pros: Better color, growth, spectrum.
Cons: bulb replacement (but the better Coral health pays for itself with growth, therefore the light pays for itself by giving you more opportunities to frag).

My experience... If you put a radion pro and a ati dimmable 6 bulb in front of me, I'm walking away with the ati ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.

6 bulb T5 on my 120. Great coverage and growth.
Have to replace bulbs every 9 months is the biggest complaint. Just buy 1 a month at $20. It spreads the cost out but really its not that expensive compaired to how much we have invested in our tanks

I the pros of T5 only lighting are hard to beat, however for me there is one con I cant get over, and that's the aesthetic look, they look static to me, I need that shimmer!
Which is why if I dont go halides on my new tank, I'll be doing a T5/led hybrid setup. T5s carrying the load, LEDs to satisfy my "shimmer" desire.
