I don’t have a lot of experience with T5’s due to the fact that I keep clams in every system and I don’t want to obscure top-down viewing. However, I’m currently planning an ultra-minimal system using an UNS 90L which is very shallow (~28cm, ~12”). I’m hoping I can suspend a Giesemann Matrixx II 4-bulb T-5 fixture about ~20cm (~8”) above the surface and still attain 350+ PAR a few inches below the surface (that’s the deepest the clams will be). Can anyone with experience with T5’s let me know if this is feasible? If not, I’ll probably use the ONF OneFlat or VolxJapan LED’s. Thanks!
