So... My tank is about to finish cycling.
When I first came to the forum I was looking to buy an affordable and good light and after months of reading and searching about lighting, taking decisions and changing them now I want the best option.
I see no reason of spending money for something cheap and end up spending more money upgrading and upgrading.

I ended up with two options:
(Ill have most LPS and SPS) (Tank dimensions are: 30" long, 13" wide and 20" deep)

1) Aquatic Life hybrid lamp, (modified by me reducing it to make it fit into my tank and dont spill light outside) With an orphek bar light in the middle to get some color pop out of the LED.

2) XR15 G5 Radion Pro

Thanks a lot for all your help everyone! Ive learned a lot from all of you, finally the fun is about to start!!

Just going to warn you, any t5 vs led thread can become a battleground lol.

The g5 is one of the best lights out there. However, the spread it best at 24x24, so 30 would be pushing it. Take a look at brs lighting showdown videos (you can skip to the t5 and g5 parts) the g5 actually has the cheapest par per dollar (not to mention the no cost in replacing bulbs every year)

One thing to consider is whether its important that everything be unified.

This was important for me. Thats why the idea of having multiple LED fixtures to get around the shading idea didnt feel ideal since i really wanted just use one power outlet on my controllable powerbar.

Additionally with a T5 and LED hybrid from different brands, you have to fiddle with each interface separately.

This is why i ended up with the ATI T5 LED hybrid. No shading, single interface and single cord.
