I think I need to adjust the time my lights run at or maybe the height of my lighting system. I have a frag tank and noticed that some of my zoas look a little shriveled up or they get smaller after I purchase them. My lights are set at these times:

Blues (2 bulbs): 10 am - 4 pm, 6 hours total
Whites (4 bulbs): 2 pm - 9 pm, 7 hours total

My tank is very shallow at just 7 inches deep. The coral is probably 3-4 inches into the water. My lights hang at about 12 inches off the water. Should I cutdown the time my lights run or should I move up the light fixture a few more inches. Thanks in advanced!

Your T5s are likely cooking your zoas. I run an 8 bulb T5, mounted at 10" above the water line on 20" deep water (so roughly 30"). I need to keep zoas on the bottom or they cook. Same goes for chalices and most montis. My acros love it though!

Same, my acro colors up beautifully but I’m probably gonna move up the fixture and try to place the zoas lower in the tank. Thank you for the input!

Your photoperiod is fine.
Try use 3 blue and 3 white bulbs to help new additions to the tank adapt better.
Every new addition needs to be adapted to your system somehow.
You can put a screen over them if that's the case.

I’ll probably try out a screen maybe that’ll help it out
