I have switched out my bulbs and I am running the following:

5 ATI Blue +
1 ATI Purple +
1 ATI Coral +
1 Giesemann True Actinic03.

Just added the Giesemann Act03. Everything in my tank turns blue. I had 2 ATI Coral + but was told my tank was too white. This is where the new bulb came into play. So what is wrong with the current bulbs? What part of the spectrum am I missing?

Thanks

Swap out the coral+ for a KZ 14000k NewGen or a GE 6500k daylight. Also bulb placement in the fixture does play a part in the coloration of a stocked tank. What is your setup from front to back?

I run 5 ATI Blue Plus and 5 ATI Aquablue specials, alternating. I like the coloration though some say it could be more blue. This is over a 27" deep tank and I can grow SPS on the sand bed, yet Acans, Echinophyllia and Zoanthids also grow great, most near the bottom.

Front to Back:
1) Ati Blue +
2) Ati Blue +
3) Giesemann True Act 03 (burns purple)
4) Ati Blue +
5) ATI Coral +
6) ATI Purple + (burns pink)
7) Ati Blue +
8) Ati Blue +

I hang the fixture about 8" above the water and everything on my sand bed Zoo's, Palys, Chalices have to be completely shaded in order to open. If I put them 1/2 in light and shade, the lighted 1/2 will stay closed. My parameters are steady: Mag-1400, Cal-385, Alk-9.4, PO4- 0.02, PH 8.2. My potassium is at about 325ppm and am increasing to 400 slowly.

Try Front to Back:
1. Blue+
2. Actinic
3. Blue+
4. Purple+
5. Blue+
6. Coral+
7. Blue+
8. Blue+

This is assuming 1,2,7,8 are am/pm and 3,4,5,6 are daytime.
