I miss the “pop” that LEDs provide and am looking to add some to an 8 bulb fixture. I tried 2 360x with another 8 bulb fixture before and you couldn’t even see additional blue; the only added effect was the shimmer. I’m wondering if it was due to the size of the tank and something similar may work with this smaller tank. I found a great deal on some old AI lights and have considered swapping out all diodes for new royal blue ones. Any recommendations?

I’ve seen them with an 8 bulb T5 fixture and can’t even tell they’re on.....
.... i do not know what you expect? You are not going to with any leds. It is only going to slightly alter the look of the corals.

The Orphek light bars are very powerful and more reasonably priced than Reef Brite. You can customize to all royal blues if you don't want the added violet and blue diodes found on the Blue Plus.

I’ve look at those, but don’t know anyone that’s actually used one. Might be worth a shot buying one to test and adding multiples

Something powerful enough that won’t be washed out by T5s bro
With 8 t5 bulbs.... that is not going to happen. You could do it im sure, but the amount you would need would be ridiculous.
