T5s with 6500K, How long do you run them?

I'm looking for people who run 6500K bulbs on their systems.

How long do you run these bulbs for daily?

ow long is your overall lighting cycle?

I used to run
2-6500k
1-coral+
1-purple+
1-actinic
3-blue+

I would run all 8 bulbs for 8 hours a day. And just a blue/actinic for the full 10 hours

I'm run my all blue and purple led spectrum for 13 hours. And the white spectrum I use Philips 865 6500k only 3 hours a day . Because my water parameters are too clean.
So I just run 3 hours 6500k bulbs .

Can you tell me what you noticed with the correlation between “too clean” (I’m assuming lower nutrients) and longer white periods?

My NO3 is below 0.2 ppm and PO4 is not detectable with hanna.
I'm think it's really low nutrients.
So I run my 6500k for over 4 hours before and some of my acros is getting some how bleached.
So I reduce to 3 hours for my white T5 bulbs.

But it depends not only my ULNS, also my lighting system is only 9.5" over my water surface.

Basically, I thought there's no actual answer for correct lighting period.
For me I will always keeping notice on my acros condition and adjust a suitable balence for my tank.
It really depends on nutrients, lighting system settings and height, rock settings, acropora position of every different tank.

Have 8 bulb sunpower with
2 6500k (on 8 hours)
2 Actinic plus (on 9 1/2 hours)
2 Blue Plus (on 8 hours)
2 KZ Super Blue (on 8 hours)
along with 6 kessil a360we (on 12 hours, including ramp up and down)

I used to run 2x Giesemann Midday 6000k in my 8xT5+led fixture. All T5s were on for the same amount of time; roughly 8 hours.

To be honest, I feel the sps growth in my tank have been more or less the same with all my various T5 setups. (new combos every 6 months or so for the last 4+ years)
Sure; one may have been ideal, but not to the point where it made a significant difference.
