Well the 45 got put on hold, possible move in near future and don't want to set that up only to have to move in a matter of months SO putting together this frag tank to tide me over until that happens! I wanted to set one up anyway so it is really the perfect solution.

Equipment:
20h tank
Stand from 45-same width so works perfectly!
Lights-PC 2x 56w (1 actinic, 1 10k daylight) with moonlights on timer
Sump-acrylic DYI! Very proud of it. Skimmer chamber, 5g fuge chamber, baffles and return chamber
Skimmer-BM-NAC3.5 knock off... don't know the name
RODI-Spectra Pure CSP Max 90
Return-Mag 5, with 3 ft of head about 300gph
Flow-modified maxi jet ph
Overflow-CPR 300

Stock List:
Current
Serpent star
Black long spine urchin
peppermint shrimp
Assorted sponges-ball, tree, there are 4 total and range from bright yellow to bright red
hermit crabs
couple snails
cucumber
Flame scallop-wouldn't have picked one up, he came as a freebie w the LR purchase and is doing well so far

Proposed
neon goby pair will be added first
sexy shrimp harem will be second
3. Black & White clown pair will be third
4. Corals-LPS polps a bunch already purchased in grow outs

All plumbing is complete and move from holding bins to tank will take place on Monday. Heading off to Utah this weekend and don't want to test out the new tank and be gone.

Now pics-not sure how to rotate

Hmmm, and much bigger you can see all the clutter around the tank right now! haha. That will be getting cleaned up soon and I will update with pics when THE MOVE happens monday.

Utah didn't happen cuz of poor weather, so got the tank moved over this weekend! Every thing looks good. I did have issues getting the stupid CPR overflow not to gurgle. I didn't matter what I did with the airpipe it would always start gurgling and flushing after a couple minutes. I finally put the sponge on and now it is pretty quiet. I didn't want to run it with the sponge, but oh well. Overall the system is pretty quiet. Very stoked about that.

I would like to run some sort of carbon on the system. I posted about it. So hopefully I will have a solution to report soon. Not a ton of room in my sump.

Without further adue.

Little update, things are going fairly smoothly. I added the first 5 frags a little over a week ago and all are doing well! Sorry no pics, but the line up of additions: Pink Zippers (already putting out new polp), CAR's, WOW! paly, Vivid Rainbows and Raptor Rainbows (also already new nub).

My serpent star is going to get banished to the sump tonight and then hopefully re-homed. He has eaten a hermit that was vulnerable from changing shells and 2 astrea snails... this week. Seems a little rougue to me. Got to watch the take down of the hermit while it happened, pretty intense. The hermit was trying to escape the twirling and swirling arms of the starfish. It all happened too fast for me to intervene so the starfish got a good meal. The two snails I saw shortly after the initial attack.

Have some additionial cuc and rics on order that should be here tomorrow. :)

wow. long time no update. Well since last I have successfully dealt with a HA outbreak and everything seems nice and stable right for the past 2 months. which is good. During the HA outbreak though the WOW palys and raptors have not done well and are still hanging, but just don't seem to ever recover. The pink zippers on the other hand have gone from 3p to 17p in 2.5 months. The Vivids and CARs are also doing well with 9p each respectively, up from 3p. The ricordias I added are doing well. I added a orange rainbow and blue w/pink mouth. They have both split once since adding.

The starfish did get re-homed. The peppermint has never bothered anything so I am on the fence about keeping him, but probably send him to the same place as the starfish.

I did add some new polps on Thurs. and one I am absolutely in love with. Can't stop looking at it. Got is as Lord of the Rings paly. It is gorgeous in daylight or actinic (absolutely glows, cant get it on my iphone) But anyway. Here are the pics

Actinic-The whole thing glows like the center top polp that you can kindof see on an angle.
