Mere, at the bottom of the text box were you write a new response you will see "post reply" "upload a file" and "more options". Click "upload a file" and it will take you to your gallery. Hopefully you can get a picture posted so one of the members can try and help you. How is your little girl today? Where did you get her from? Have you tried contacting the breeder for help?

Thank you I will try but I am not computer literate I am not sure I can even figure out how to down load the picture onto the computer. AS far as the little girl goes I was up till late reading trying to gusse went through my ocean ryder manual and I think she might have the begaining of tail rot I choose to treat her as I figured it was safer for the rest of the horses and if it eas it stop it early if not hope fully wont hurt her (sorry if this was wrong I was just scared for the others) I put her in a quarintine tank with neoplex and kanaplex as suggested from ocean ryder. She did not want to eat this am but its scarry and different so many changes so quick will try angin tonight and start some brine. Got her from a fish store that said she was captive bred I have had no problem with them before but this is the first seahores from there. If you dont mind another question about water changes My tank is bare bottom I use a gravel vac (battery) with screen so I dont lose water 3 times a day a afer each meal I vac the wole bottom and aroundthe few leater coarles but when i turn back on the pumps I still get debre off the bottom in the water colume is this bad thank you for the reply its appreciated

I think you did the right thing by QT her and treating with antibiotics. Since you are catching it early she should respond well. Be sure to treat her for a full 2 weeks. Try some small ghost shrimp, most seahorses can't resist them. Artemia is good too because you can enrich it with the antibiotics.

It sounds like you are doing a good job syphoning after meals. Your skimmer will clean up the leftover debris in the water column.

I agree that you did the right thing by putting her in qt! I also think you did great by referring to your manual. I would not be surprised if she contracted it from the lfs even if she is captive bred. Chances are she was in a system that contained wild caught fish.
When I do water changes, I use a turkey baster and blow off the macro and rock work. I let the pump remove what it will and then vacuum what has settled on the floor then proceed with the water change. I hope this helps. Please keep us posted on her.
