Have a young tsb just out of quarantine...he's in a 10 Fusion with plenty of rock and hiding places...This guy (Benny II) seems to be making himself a little porch in the substrate adjacent to his favorite place at the base of the lr...just curious, is digging and earthmoving typical of these guys?...no problem, just want to know...:D

Digging isn't a common behavior, but if it's near his favorite spot, he is just making it more to his liking.

I have one and is favorite spot is the barnacles I put in my tank just for him. I've seen him stir up some sand at times.:D

No doubt that is what he's doing, but he uses his mouth to dig away and spit out the sand just like more typical earth-moving species...my Benny is a genius!:D

Our Tailspot did the exact same thing last night. He was apparently removing sand from one area and blowing it out on the other side. He had been in the tank less than 6 hours and was already making it his little area.

You guys should vdeo that n post bcos its an uncommon sight.......my tsb just peck at the sand for the algae
