Hi! I just got an adorable tail spot blenny. Betty is currently in quarantine and eating a combination of LRS reef frenzy nano + brine shrimp + Brightwell aminos for fish + General Cure/Focus I have read that they are omnivores, but voracious algae eaters. The dude at the LFS said that I should be fine with brine shrimp and TDO pellets, but TDO pellets don't have any plant matter in them. What are you all feeding them so they get a complete diet? I was considering LRS Herbivore Reef Frenzy, which would cover my clowns as well, but I'm worried the pieces are too big.

While my tank is very new, I'm planning on putting in a refugium in the AIO rear sump - do you know if they eat any macro algaes I could harvest from the refugium? Do they eat pods?

Tank info:

10 gal Waterbox AIO
10 Gal QT w/ airstone - Copper Power @ 2.52ppm
QT Salinity: 34.8 ppt
QT pH: 7.9
QT Nitrate: .05
QT Nitrite: 0
QT Ammonia: 0 (if the seachem badge is accurate)
QT Alk: 7.9 dkh
Stock: two ocellaris + blenny

Mine became very aggressive to my watchman goby and possum wrasse. So beware. Mine eats everything but loves eating algae off the glass and rocks

They'll eat just about everything you throw in there. If your tank has algae in there and he is grazing I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I have two, each in different tanks. I love them! Lots of personality and will definitely eat anything you throw in the tank. I will sometimes drop a very small piece of nori rubber banded to a small rock and between my blennies and the CUC they’re gone in no time.

TDO has algae in it, so it essentially has plant matter. Just throwing that out there. Since this animal likes to graze on microalgae in the tank, TDO will boost its diet with more phytoplankton nutrient.

They are big on vegetation.
Formula 2 flake and frozen
LRS reef frenzy
spiruina brine shrimp
Algae tabs for bottom feeders

Thanks for letting me know. That wasn't immediately obvious to me from the ingredients list!
