I would like to use prophylactic quarantine procedures (copper, prazi, etc) on a Tailspot in a pretty fresh QT with essentially no natural algae in it.

Can I just supplement meaty diet with algae wafers? How often should I add algae wafer pieces?

Thanks!

TSB should be fed meaty foods and algae daily (more than what’s in the tank)

I was feeding once every other day and he started to get a sunken belly now he’s fat and happy.

I feed mine formula 2 flakes, frozen mysis and Hikari extreme seaweed pellets

Another thing is TSB’s don’t really have teeth so the food size needs to be small enough for them to swallow or they will just gum the food.

Hope this helps!

The tsb usually readily takes prepared foods; hikari mega algae is a great food to feed, along with mega marine formula, mysis, and any other meaty foods. Flakes or whatever else you would usually feed your tanks. My tsb never appeared to be that picky; maybe I spoiled him, he picked a bit but was never what I would call a worker.
