Hi - I just went thru extensive removal of what I think was a bad GHA outbreak but could’ve been a type of bryopsis. I’m trying to stay ahead of having to deal with another outbreak now by doing a couple of things, one of them to increase my CUC.

I have a 30.2 gallon (1 yr old) currently with:

Fish: 2 small paired clownfish, 2 paired royal grammas, 1 Starcki damsel

CUC inverts: 1 fighting conch, 3 astrea snails, 2 cerith snails, 1 turbo snail, 1 dwarf blue leg hermit

Question: Do you think adding a Tailspot blenny would be most effective to add to my CUC for herbivores for algae control, or would adding Trochus/Turbos be better for my tank?

Emerald crabs, but they can bother some corals.
Tailspot and snails, why not both?

True....I guess I was looking for the most impact per “bioload addition” since trying not to overpopulate the tank.

The addition of both might be net zero to a bioload calculation. If they are not consuming food, but consuming detritus and algae.
Is a crab who scavenges adding to the bioload?

In the same boat, 30 gallon year old with GHA. I added a bunch of snails recently and they didn't do anything, now looking at the tailspot. I was wondering how effective they are with algae.
