It seems my tailspot blenny is suicidal because he keeps picking at the dang wavemaker :angry-face:
I already slowed down the flow by a few percent, but that makes him even bolder at picking
I've seen his tail get extremely close to the impeller already and I'm anxious seeing him do that

It's not even a feeding problem, I feed him everyday! I even put some nori right before his eyes which he will pick a few times but will get right back at eating from the wavemaker!

Is this normal behaviour? I guess I need to add a net to the pump so he can't get sucked in, but otherwise I have no idea why he is so focused on eating from it???

And yes, the barnacles are right beside the pump, but I put several in the tank at various spots and he ofc choose the one right beside the wavemaker smh

Mine sits on top of the wave maker And picks on it, probably eating algae off it.

Mine does the same. He seems to be strong enough to get out without issue when he does. I'm not worried.
What speed are yours set on? I have mine normally at 520gph for a 20g tank, but lowered it to 300gph for now, I really dont wanna come home to blenny curry

If it hasn't been gunked up too much it's 500gph in a 15 gallon cube. I'd peg it at around 400-450.
