Tailspot Blenny skin issue

This skin patch suddenly popped up on my Tailspot Blenny. Any ideas what it could be? Noticed it first time roughly 12 hours ago as a skin patch half the size.

Fungal?

True fungal infections are rare in marine fish and look different than that. Since it showed up suddenly, my first thought would be an injury. It could also be a bacterial infection (possibly stemming from an injury) that maybe you just missed as it developed.

Treating that if it is bacterial would require moving the fish to a treatment tank and dosing with a broad spectrum, gram negative antibiotic, so you might want to just watch it for now.

One other possibility - the picture was taken under blue light, if the lesion looks red under white light, it could be a Uronema infection.

Still white under white light. Perhaps just injury. Will keep an eye on the Blenny to make sure his condition does not worsen.
