Anyone ever seen one of these?

Looks similar to a gold torch. Looks bleached but if from Taiwan, no idea. I have a coral importer that imports Taiwanese stuff so I’ll show him and ask. But to be honest, I didn’t know torch grew that far north.

My coral guy just said there are no golden ones from Taiwan. Only green.

Also should add the guy I’m getting it from is a distributor from New York and he said this is the first one he has seen in 3 years. But he knows rare torches are my thing. Only other one I have been looking for is a red torch since the day I saw it on here too.

found another archived one on POTO

At those prices ill stick with my Tongan torch lol.

The translucent appearance of the coral in the first picture sure makes me think it’s a little bleached.
By the picture in question: $100-150 tops in today’s market, and I’m a torch addict also.

So you would only pay $100-$150 for a coral that’s literally 1 of 1 if say it’s not bleached and is truly white like this?

Judging by the original pic, yes. The tentacle color looks better in your most recent pic though. The first pic you posted looks like would expect an Aussie gold to look if it were semi-bleached. I know they said it was Taiwan and not Aussie, but it wouldn’t be the first time a coral was sold with fudged name. Judgement was based on the pic provided. I’d love to see more yellow torch show up in the market that aren’t “holy” and $1k a head!
Being Taiwanese and not a lot of info to be found when doing a quick search of the web, how about starting a thread to show the torch’s progression every month or so.

Since I just got it and it’s not fully opened up. I will post better pictures of it and update this thread as it progresses. How did you know it was $1,000?

My first thought was bleached as well. There is one that looks full of color and one that look manipulated by some type of lighting. @snipersps picture looks full of color.
