I've seen really good growth without one up to this point, but i'm not sure how much of that I can attribute to lack of skimming. Even the Starburst Monti had some pretty good polyp extension until the algae showed up. Either way, I ordered the Tunze 9001 earlier and it'll be here Tuesday. I'm looking forward to the increased oxygenation and help against algae.
