Take look at my protein skimmer

Guy take a look at my skimmer and tell me if it is appropriate for a 50g reef tank or not?

Looks to be ok for 50g
Also depends on how often you have to empty it

Every 1 week.
Some times like now(that is obvious in the pics)i have to empty it every 3 or 4 days.

Some times the water in my skimmer is yellow and some times is greeen and some times like now is nearly black.
Is it ok?
If it is why is it like this(cause the creatures in the tank are the same and the skimmer reaction is different)

Just depends on the amount of junk that is being pulled from the water. Also, if the bubble level rises or falls (which often happens with skimmers), you will skim wetter (yellow) or dryer (blacker).

well all I can think of is whats your water chemistry obviously its pulling out a lot of stuff. if your lvls are elevated maybe theres something different you could be doing.

What do you mean theres sth different i could be doing?

more water changes, more carbon, less feedings. but again your equipment could be completely fine for your size tank my rule of thumb is if everything looks fine and your getting good coral growth with what you have and no invasive algae than leave it alone.

I was completely ok with it for about a year but suddenly the cyano came to the scene and im dealing with it but i dont think it is because of my skimmer.
Since cyano came the water in the skimmer got darker.
