3D printed lunar light from eBay $35
20170124_161027.jpg
this is after pulling out the guts from the original light since that set up wouldn't work and I replaced it with a 3 watt Cree cool White
20170120_214253.jpg I decided to get curious about the Neptune lunar LED and peeled open the box on my to LED strip and discovered that each box has a hidden LED inside each box more than likely to dim down the LEDs brightness.
I decided to cut the and box off leaving only two original LEDsize, and I wired the end of that string directly to the Cree LED. The first two leds on my lunar lights are hidden from view giving me a actual replica lit moon to hang over the tank and it's being controlled by my Neptune LSM module 20170124_165138.jpg
This is the light on the test stand, led is at about 10% power.

I will post more once it's finally installed

Well it's all set up and I'm very happy with how it turned out. my fish really must think I'm crazy but hey at least they have a moon 20170124_191025.jpg 20170124_200508.jpg 20170124_195738.jpg 20170124_200329.jpg

That's pretty cool. Makes for some awesome night time top down shots.

Very cool idea! I have the lunar controller (almost said module) for my ReefKeeper but never thought of actually making a moon. Brilliant!

That's hilarious and awesome at the same time! Love it!
