Welp, after being in this hobby for 19 years it's sad to say that I'm taking a break. I told myself years ago that if I ever started losing interest in the hobby I would get out before my it had any impact on my livestock. Over the years I amassed a pretty big collection of corals from some amazing vendors and fellow hobbyists. The one thing that this hobby certainly doesn't lack is the willingness of fellow hobbyist to lend their advice and knowledge. I learned a lot over the years .....more than any classroom could ever teach and I owe most of it to fellow hobbyist and vendors on this amazing forum. I'm very grateful for everyone input over the years. Over the last couple of months I've been selling off my corals and livestock. Thursday I have a gentleman coming to buy my 150g tank, all remaining livestock and all of the equipment. It will be a bittersweet day. Out the door will go 19 years of hard work, but I'm proud to say that I'm going out with the same promise I made myself 19 years ago. I sold everything cheaper than I would've liked but that's because it's going to a gentleman that has the same drive that I had for this hobby up until recently. At the same time....I have to be honest... It's going to be nice not looking at my Neptune app every time I'm gone for a few days or doing the daily maintenance requirements. I give my fellow hobbyist all the credit in the world because this hobby takes commitment and dedication. You have to be married to this hobby. I wish you all the best of luck and I'm sure there will be a day down the road when I return and I can't even imagine how the hobby and technology will evolve. I'm sure I will check in from time to time to see what's new.
Good luck to you all and thank you to all that have helped me over the years.
R2R mods and staff......you guys rock. Thank you!!!
