Taking a leak in my tank.

Just wondering if I started cycling a new tank with dry rock and took a leak in it every couple of hours would it cycle??

I thought I'd save a few bucks instead of buying ammonia in a bottle, and just supply it myself. Would it work??

yep it would cycle. but the more interesting biology, is it would cycle anyway, adding nothing, taking lots more time, so how did the ammonia and bac get in? since you wont be adding a controlled amount, you wont get the same time frames that bottle bac cycling would yield. this method is reviewed from time to time lol

It works. The neighbors gave me some from their eight-year-old, so it would be caffeine free. You don't need that much, BTW. Every few hours = yuck.

Just use your dry rock and add some fish food and wait it out I've found that's the best way to do this.

But in all seriousness, most medications are eliminated in your urine and they all have different half lives and stay in your systems all sorts of different amounts of time, affected by all sorts of different things.

Well I read the article above and it looks like I'll need to not drink so much water.... That will increase the concentration. Also I'll have to stay away from some foods that have high concentrations of phosphorus..... Nobody wants that in the tank. I'll have to increase my intake of vinegar or vodka. Guess which one I'll pick ![emoji3]
