I seem to remember people being able to take some pretty sweet looking pictures of blue LED lit tanks with a yellow filter... I can't seem to find any "how-to" on how to go about taking pictures... Any input?

Hmmm this sounds like a post for Gary!! Gary where are you? :D

Here every day. I don't know anything about using a yellow filter on blue tanks. There was a lot of activity using some specialized equipment to photograph fluorescence, but this one is a new one for me. I'm curious, though.

Dang Gary you are fast! LOL!

Troy,
Not sure what you mean. If you want blue photos under blue LEDs there shouldn't be anything to do but take the picture. I just shoot in RAW and don't do anything with the white balance. Should be rather straightforward.

Well snapping photos under blue LEDs only gives a ugly nasty looking picture.... Guess you need something else to make it look cool like photo shop which I don't own.... I can't even take a picture on auto with a phoenix 14k on if I have the LEDs on... Without the LEDs it's just fine thou...:( some time when your in Vegas I'll have to have ya come buy and smack me around a little bit so I can get it right..
