Taking the dive

Bought a used tank setup a few months ago! It's a 270 gallon (84"Lx24"Wx31"H). Really excited to start, but my plan is to play the long game with patience and as my budget allows to make sure its done properly. First step is for me to get the location of the tank in my house finished (just started over the weekend). I'm planning an in-wall tank, 2 sides viewable front and 1 side panel, with my equipment room behind in a wet room. The equipment room has cold water and floor drains so I think it's a great base to build from.

Been reading this fourm for over a year while learning and planning this build. I'm looking forward to conversations and feedback on the many questions I'm sure I'll have through the journey.

Any idea what type of tank you want? Fish corals you aspire towards?

I'm planning on a mixed reef with softies to start, aspire to possible SPS someday when I get some knowledge and experience. No plans on specific fish, but I'll most definitely be getting a blue tang at some point.
