Hey everybody, first time posting here though have been lurking for a while.
Finally got myself a tank today, Aqua One Nano 60 (100L), and going to be converting it to marine by playing around with the filtration in the back compartment a bit. So with that in mind lets jump in to the meaty part of this post.
The dimensions of the tank are, 40d x 60w x 47h cm, with the back portion screed off for a flow through filtration system. My question is two fold, what would be a good lighting system for this tank, I have been looking at the AI Prime but I don't think a single one would cut it. And what would be a good skimmer to fit in the back, currently I have been looking at a Blue Marine Skim100, but this is everso slightly too wide to fit in the back so I would need to take a razor blade to the silicon holding the glass baffles in place and remove one.
The tank would be primarily a softy+nems tank with some hard corals, SPS and LPS (I'm a sucker for Acans). Not planning on stocking many fish, going to go mostly inverts as inverts rule. Also the tank wont be being set up till I get a job and my own place (the tank is a graduation present BSc Hons Marine Biology and Oceanography) so I have plenty of time to look around, plan etc.
Thanks in advanced,
Lewis.
