Hello. Taking the plunge and going to start slowly with a BioCube32 build out. Have had aquariums at varying stages of life and been running a low-tech planted tank for a few years now. That tank is super stable and all I do is change water and clean filters.

So far I have the tank, stand, refractometer and PH meter. The tank did come with the InTank media basket and fuge. All purchased used!

On the List to Buy (not in any particular order):
Testing Kits - Leaning towards salifert for all (MAG,CA,ALK,Phosphate)
RODI Filter
Heater
Power Bar for good cable/power management (wireless is interesting, but leaning towards a dj style power bar)
Wave Maker (leaning towards nero 3)
Return Pump (tank has an aftermarket 'no name' brand (leaning towards a sicce 1.0/1.5)
Substrate (Leaning towards carib sea special grade)
Rock (Leaning towards marco)

Phew, lots to get before I am ready to get my hands wet! I anticipate that this will not get going until summer/fall

Looking forward to growing into the hobby!

Welcome! Glad you joined.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:

Welcome to Reef2Reef! It's great to meet you!

Wow, lots of responses! I will start a build thread once I get a little more excitement going.

@Fish Think Pink thanks for the guide. I have been watching a lot of BRS videos as well! Learning first before getting ahead of myself.
