talk about Power heads

Well talk about power heads, I am angry!!! I have a Marineland Maxi-Jet PRO set up as a circulation pump and this is what I came home to today.

I have no idea how it got in there but my Bi color angel is gone. Has this happened to anyone else? If its blowing water out how did it get sucked in?:cry:

sorry for your loss i hate it when something so simple causes the loss of a nice fish. The answer to your question on how it happend is that you recently unplugged the powerhead and when you plugged it back in it spun the other way happens all the time with mine, I noticed it once when I was doing a change and the tank just did not look right after restart so I looked into it and found out why things were not moving the way they usaly do was because a reversed power head. now I just check every time now on restart.

Geez, are you kidding me? How can that happen and I wonder if Marineland knows it. I will be contacting them on Monday, doubt they will do anything but that is something that they need to correct. Thank you very much for the info and would it be ok if I mention you when I talk to them Monday?

I got the same powerhead a few months ago everytime the power goes off & we have that alot in the summer the thing goes into reverse never had this happen with the older maxi jets I'm sorry about your angelfish make them buy you a new one!
