Where’s the most annoying places you find it, and best tips to prevent it?

New to this but finding it all over my little QT lid, wires, filter etc. does having no wires n tank make a difference?

What about the sump, is it hard to keep it in the sump and away from hard to keep sides?

You will always have it due to evaporation. I hardly ever clean mine. I get it at my sump and display. I usually knock it back into the tank or just wipe it off. The more evaporation the more salt crep.

Almost never have any? I keep a glass lid + wooden canopy so the display basically never evaporates, however there is some in the sump probably due to the water splashing

It is going to collect where the water is moving and any splashing will make it worse. Like RedReefer, I just knock it back in.

Does it ever get over the edges though? My QT is just a petco tank/lid and I feel like it’s falling around the lid then going back behind the tank where I can barely reach.

Trying to think how I can minimize that on the larger tank setup before it’s all in place

I saw the glass lids, and read it can be unfavorable. Esp in regards to oxygen etc. do you like yours? Seems like less worry about ato volume if your not having as much too.

You can do that, it may help some. I don’t think that you will be able to stop it completely.

I imagine if it was crazy or in hard to reach places people would talk about it more. I was just thinking before having it in place how to be mindful so it’s not falling behind things.

But then I also wonder if it’s just because of the hang on back filter and probly won’t be as bad with a internal overflow..

It doesn't build up much so I never clean it, there's more than enough oxygenation due to the constant water agitation in said sump and I don't have to worry about fish jumping or anything (cats) falling into the tank

HOB can definitely make it worse, skimmers can also make it worse. The salt doesn’t evaporate with the water, so it takes the movement to create it. For your HOB, you can use a piece of filter foam to help reduce splashing.
