Guy I know set up a new tank and got a tamarin wrasse. Said pieces of his zoas are gone and nothing else in there would eat it other than the tamarin. I never heard of one eating any corals, just small inverts. I told him it may have melted or a hitchhiker got to it. have any of you experienced a coral eating tamarin wrasse? Thanks

A tamarin wrasse shouldn't be eating soft corals. It's possible that it could be hunting for small crustaceans, snails or amphipods. Possible it upset these zoa's when hunting.

My tamarin wrasse never ate zoas either. Was a great jumper though. Jumped through my automatic feeding hole that was 2 inch x 2 inch diameter....after 1.5 years...

Agree.
There might be some collateral damage if it's picking pods from the zoas, but it's not outright eating them.
