So I'm upgrading to a 4ft 120. My center piece fish is a copperband. I love this guy and don't want to put anything in the tank that would put him at risk. He is a bold copperband and runs the tank, tank mates are a one spot fox, and the rest are small blenny, green chromis, clown ect. Any suggestions for a tang to add. I had a powder brown in the past , looking for something else

Powder brown often susceptible to ich or velvet. Some good natured and trusted would be chocolate, tomini, biota yellow, yelloweye kole, maculiceps, white tail bristletooth, convict and orange shoulder

I added a tomini and he’s been a model citizen. Shy at first because he was picked on the first day by a 2” lemon damsel. The tomini is about 3”. Same size now but he’s warmed up to me and the tank and is out and active daily, eating a variety of foods well. After 1 day the damsel had less interest in the tomini and after 2 days the damsel has zero interest in him

I learned my lesson on quarantine when a powder brown wiped my first tank out. Never again

I'm leaning towards the tomini, doing some research on them,

Any of the bristletooths should be fine, especially if you get a smaller one. I think the Tomini/flame is one of the prettiest.

He’s very active and hard to photograph without being blurry, but here are some pics I managed to get. This is a darker bodied fish with bright flame colored fins and a bright white tail. Very pretty in person. And I notice he pecks at the sand bed and rock looking for stuff to clean. A nice bonus.

The fin damage is almost completely healed. He eats mysis flake, prime reef flake, frozen mysis, frozen emerald entree, krill, benereef, arcti pods, and nori that’s loose and blowing around but he hasn’t become comfortable eating from the clip yet.

Nice color

Thanks everyone, Tomini hits all of the right marks. I will be going that route. I have to much yellow already in the tank so a yellow tang is out. Thanks again for helping
