I have a tang that ate super glue just over 1 week ago. I’ve had this happen before with a different tang and everything my experience & what I’ve read suggests that I should let it ride & if the fish hasn’t died in the first couple of minutes it is still breathing and will likely make it... well, it has been 8 days- I’ve observed the fish eating & although it changed its routine of pecking at rocks to focus more heavily on free floating algae, he seems fine. Attempts to catch just causes him to stress out more...some glue is still there on his upper lip. My question is should I try to grab him to remove or stay the course? Again, he seems to be in (almost) perfect health

just leave it alone if its eating and acting somewhat normally. fish can deal with waiting on treble hooks to dissolve when a line breaks fishing, a little glue will just get scraped off or fall off itself eventually.

Agree, as long as no immediate signs r present, which would have already happened, I wouldn't worry about it. Fish grow new scales and skin all the time.
