Can someone help id this tang. It’s a juvenile (2-3 inch). The current owner says it’s a bristletooth but not 100% sure which one.

Thanks

Pale and tucked fins, but could be a little stressed in the qt?
Wasn’t sure about the color but the fins did concern me just a bit. He’s had it in coppersafe for 2 weeks now.

I’m qt’ing some fish now so I couldn’t get it from him for another week or so (if at all).

So still not sure what type of bristletooth it is though. Any clue?

The blue in the eye makes me think it’s a striatus or a two spot, but I’d think if it was a two spot the spots would remain even though it’s so pale. So my bets guess is straitus

@4FordFamily what do you think ?

I agree. When washed out in color it’s nearly impossible to be certain, however.
