This is a perfect example of why I don't generally watch reef-related youtube videos: the vast majority of folks posting them don't know what they are talking about or doing! OK, if it is somebody I already know and appreciate as an expert, I may make an exception and watch their videos.

It's entertainment. Cringe worthy entertainment, but that's the way a lot of tv shows are going these days, so only natural YouTube follows suit.

There are a still a lot of good youtube reef related videos, it's just the ratio of bad to good is a lot higher then say threads on reef2reef.

Last night I went through his videos. He definitely had a bit of a learning curve, but it looks like he is headed in the right direction. From the last video that talked about fish, he has a QT setup and is going fallow for the DT. I personally have made mistakes that have led to the death of my prized animals. Because of the steps he is taking to improve how he is housing these animals I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt with his tang experience.

You have to QT LFS fish as well. In fact, an LFS is just one more water system full of parasites they will be exposed to. Not knocking LFS at all they're great and we should support them. But, logistically, it's another shared system that is riddled with parasites.

How about reading a book about salt water reefing before you start just adding way to many fish at once. What a shame and stop doing videos.

Looks like he had money to throw @ it and wrecklessly jumped in with little no experience on that large of a system im baffled wish i had money to throw out to make a large system i mean im no expert on pairing fish but i would be competent enough to make sure what im getting is atleast compatible and sized right for the tank that was an awful fail poor fish they didnt deserve that[emoji17]
