Tang going nuts in acclimation box - let it out?

I'm transfering a purple tang from quarantine to the DT and placed him in a 12x 5 acclimation box suspended in the DT. There oisa piece of PVC in there also for cover. Problem is he's going absolutely nutso and beating his nose to death on the acrylic trying to find a way out.

Leave him and let him try to settle or release him into the DT now? Only a bristletooth in the DT to worry about and the lights aare already off in the tank, if it makes a difference.
