it’s hallow and discolored…Seems to be an injury to me… I brought the fish yesterday and this morning it appeared.

It does look like an injury. New fish sometimes run into things in tanks since they don’t know the layout.

Based on circular pattern can be yes, a bump injury, bite or bacterial. I would suggest treatment in a quarantine tank using a broad spectrum antibiotic such as Seachem Kanaplex and keep an eye on it for healing

You can use Ruby rally Pro but it takes longer to act ad treat. It is always good to have a Quarantine tank on hand as worse cases will often occur on a weekend especially sunday afternoon when stores are closed.

my tangs have had injuries like these before, i always let it heal on its own. Never any problems, just as long as it doesnt get worse and the fish is still active and eating i wouldnt be too concerned
