Gold rim achilles hybrid?

Hybrid Achilles x goldrim.

This one looks more goldrim than Achilles. But goldrim do not have orange tails and this trait follows Achilles hybrids.

I thought so! Thanks... you think the wanna be tear drop that looks more like a dash or dot may develope? He is still a bit small

I have seen maybe one Achilles hybrid with a tear drop and it was tiny and nothing like an Achilles so I would be very surprised.

Well maybe not a full tear drop but like a dot or dash? Lol
Nothing noticeable to anyone but the most trained eye most likely.

By the way juvenile Achilles goldrim crosses tend to look more like goldrim as yours does. So that explains why it looks slightly more goldrim than many I see. For instance the lighter gray eye pocket and much of the white on the tail will go away.

They're handsome fish and I suspect it will look like many others. I've seen less variance in Achilles x goldrim than I have powder blue x goldrim hybrids.
