Hello all. Had this little guy for a week and just today it looks like its suffering. Please help!

Sorry to see it's in such bad shape! :crying-face:

It clearly is covered in ick. If it's stopped eating you can euthanize it in a container with an air stone or small pump and a few drops of clove oil. If it is eating what I would do is use low salinity to treat it and all your other fish. But you'll need to read up on setting up a QT.

Thank you. So my other fish are probably infected correct?

It’s loaded with parasites either ich or crypto irritants. Hard to assess a fish in a net. Will need still pics or video to better assess it
Please describe its breathing (normal or labored)
It’s swimming behavior
Acclimation used
When this sudden turn occurred
What is ammonia and salinity?

ammonia 0
Salinity 1.025
Tang was hiding under rocks and looked like it was bumping into it and was breathing faster.
Now its dead :(

Sorry to hear of loss
Sounds like fish was moribund and in trouble beyond
How was it acclimated and do consider a quarantine tank for future arrivals
In all honesty, with presence of parasites, you are best not adding fish to display tank for 45-60 days but you can have 1 or 2 in quarantine

Sorry to hear about your tang. It does look like it may have had ich, but there is something else going on - below its gills - the lower edge of its body isn't the right shape....there is a protuberance that shouldn't be there.

If the fish did have ich, your other fish will be exposed, and that needs to be dealt with. I can see two clownfish in the picture, what other fish do you have?
